Heather Hampson
Heather Hampson, CPL’s Director of Production, is one of the most experienced Producer Executives in entertainment programming.
Heather joined CPL Productions in 2004 as Director of Production from Channel X where she was Director of Production from 1990 and Joint Managing Director from 2000. During this time, Heather worked on Jonathan Ross‘ interview shows, The Incredibly Strange Film Shows and Reeves & Mortimer’s sketch shows. She has worked with an amazing roster of talent, then fresh to television: Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer, Alan Davies, cult magicians Penn & Teller, Steve Coogan, Jo Brand and David Walliams and Matt Lucas.
Heather moved from Piccadilly Radio into TV as a Production Assistant at Granada and for two years worked on live television and Coronation Street. After moving into post production facilities as Production Manager at Molinare, with the launch of Channel 4, became a freelance Production Manager working for many of the early independent production companies, including Celador Productions. She produced the BAFTA nominated Max Headroom’s Giant Christmas Turkey and Channel 4’s first live opera transmission, Don Giovanni.
In December 2006 Heather was part of the management buyout of Celador Productions. She now owns the company alongside CPL’s Managing Director, Danielle Lux and Creative Director, Murray Boland.
