Six Couples Try for Love in Brand New Spinoff 90 Day Fiancé UK

12 July 2021

discovery+ gives British fans of the 90 Day franchise even more to love with local spinoff 90 Day Fiancé UK… coming exclusively to discovery+ UK later this year.

Six Brits have found “the one” abroad and are ready to put it all on the line for what they hope is true love in brand-new series 90 Day Fiancé UK. From BAFTA award winning producers CPL Productions, a Red Arrow Studios company,  the 12×60 series follows the couples’ victories, trials and tribulations as they navigate their first 90 days together in the UK.

The unforgettable cast of characters in 90 Day Fiancé UK each have 90 days from the moment their significant other lands in the UK to say “I do,” or else the non-Brits have to pack their bags and go home before their fiancé visa runs out. The episodes feature the love hopefuls in their hometowns and meeting face-to-face in the UK for the first time.

The stakes couldn’t be higher for these fish-out-of-water fiancés, and we will have front row seats as they navigate cultural differences, hidden agendas, sceptical families, language barriers and much more.

Clare Laycock, SVP Planning & Insights, Head of Entertainment at Discovery, said: “For the past seven years, the 90 Day franchise has captured the hearts of audiences all around the world. Now we’re excited to bring 90 Day fans this brand new British spinoff with an all new cast. 90 Day Fiancé UK promises to bring all the drama, emotions and controversy our passionate 90 Day fans love. Will uprooting their lives to find love in the UK pay off?

Murray Boland, Executive Producer for CPL said: “Creating exciting and innovative entertainment shows is what we love doing at CPL. This format immediately leapt out as a show that fits alongside our other programmes, making it our own for a UK audience. The additional bonus of being part of an exciting slate of new programmes at Discovery made it an opportunity not to be missed.”

90 Day Fiancé UK debuts on the heels of a record-breaking year for the 90 Day franchise in 2020. In the UK, the 90 Day franchise saw its best rating on record for an episode of Before the 90 Days s4 last year, becoming the biggest rating of the year on TLC. The franchise also reached 3.1m people in 2020 on TLC UK, while TLC UK YouTube has over 5m subscribers.

90 Day Fiancé UK was ordered for discovery+ by Clare Laycock, commissioned by Charlotte Reid and executive produced by Deirdre Dowling for Discovery. Executive producers for CPL Productions are Murray Boland, Danielle Lux and Dermot Caulfield.

The 90 Day franchise is now available on discovery+ in the UK. 90 Day Fiancé UK will launch exclusively on discovery+ UK later this year.
