Duo strike co-production deal.
Documentary indie Tigerlily Productions has tied with A League of their Own indie CPL Productions to jointly develop factual entertainment and drama shows.
The companies will pool Tigerlily’s factual sensibilities with CPL’s entertainment and emerging drama credentials to create a series of co-productions.
Tigerlily is responsible for BBC4’s Black Power Salute and Tubular Bells, as well as a range of films for Channel 4’s Random Acts strand.
The deal has been agreed between CPL directors Danielle Lux and Murray Boland and Tigerlily’s Natasha Dack-Ojumu and Nikki Parrott.
Lux said she had “admired Tigerlily’s integrity and intelligence as programme-makers for many years”.
“Together with the creativity and energy that CPL prides itself on, this collaboration promises to deliver programmes with a difference in tone and approach,” she added.
Dack-Ojumu complimented “the energy, enthusiasm and popular touch of Danielle and Murray”.
“We’re looking forward to challenging ourselves to work in a different way on the projects we develop with them.”
